About the Speakers:
Javier joined GE in 2012 as a co-op in the quality department for GE Aviation Systems in Clearwater, FL. Upon graduation, he joined the Operations Management Leadership Program and held various positions as an Assembly engineer for mixed model engines, quality engineer for T700 engines in Lynn, MA, 2nd shift supervisor for rotating parts in Asheville, NC, and Material Planner for GEnx -development engines in Cincinnati, OH. Javier has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida, and he is currently working on his Masters in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University. Outside of work, Javier enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with his family and dog Marley.
Fawaz Budeiri is currently the Test Engineering Manager at GE Aviation-Unison in Jacksonville Fl. Fawaz joined GE Aviation-Unison in 2005 as the Lead Project Engineer for Ignition Systems where he was responsible for all aspects of Ignition System development, design, test and Production Support for key customers. During his Eleven year career at GE-Unison Fawaz oversaw the development, certification, and introduction to production of multiple key commercial, military and industrial ignition system projects. He also drove quality and cost improvement projects for current production exciters. In his current role as the Test Engineering Manager his main task is to enhance and standardize Unison’s test capabilities to meet the latest product and industry requirements. He is also driving to increase the efficiency of existing test facilities and invest to grow these capabilities to meet the ever growing test equipment and facilities demands. Prior to joining GE, Fawaz spent 16 years in the Automotive Industry in a multitude of assignments that included product, process and project engineering. He graduated from Southern University A&M with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and he also has a MBA from the University of Phoenix.
