Our products are customizable, and by using our four step process, you can create your own unique science-inspired accessories. Sci Chic’s plastic accessories are 3D printed on Lulzbot and Delta printers, our metal products are printed by Shapeways, and our laser cut items are cut using a C02 laser. About the Speaker:
Erin Winick (ewinick@ufl.edu) is a 4th year Mechanical Engineering major at the University of Florida and founder of the company, Sci Chic. Sci Chic aims to show off the beauty of science and technology. They create science and engineering inspired jewelry using advanced technologies like 3D printing and laser cutting and creates educational resources based on these pieces. During her time at UF she has served in a wide variety of leadership roles. Erin is currently serving a University Innovation Fellow, member of the UF College of Engineering Strategic Planning Committee, the Society of Women Engineering Region D Collegiate Representative, member of the Student Leadership Advisory Board and part of the UF Engineering Leadership Circle. Additionally, Erin served as president of the UF chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) last year.
