Student teams are tasked with developing an innovative product that addresses a common problem. Teams will have twenty (20) minutes to brainstorm and develop their concept, design their product, and prepare for a short product presentation for a panel of Lockheed Martin “Sharks.” Designs will be evaluated based upon criteria in three areas of expertise: Product Design, Product Quality, and Production Cost. These areas represent three key functions within Lockheed Martin – Engineering, Quality, and Finance & Business Operations (F&BO). During evaluation, Sharks will reward innovative designs, pose challenging questions to student teams, and provide valuable insight into the Aerospace and Defense industry. This workshop will be facilitated by Michael S. Repass, Jr. and a panel of Lockheed Martin personnel representing the Engineering, Quality, and F&BO organizations.
